Child First Academy (CFA) utilizes the most advanced research in neuroscience as a foundation for our advanced early learning pedagogy. We now know that 80% of brain development occurs between the ages of birth to 3 years. CFA uniquely provides a nurturing and relational learning environment that maximizes healthy brain development. CFA is the vanguard of early learning in Chicagoland. Child First Academy is family owned and operated. CFA opened at the height of the pandemic in 2020 and has grown rapidly. CFA has created a family environment with our staff and families, and we want to hire staff that are committed to being a part of our long-term family.
CFA is a pioneer in utilizing the most advanced teaching techniques which maximize brain development, i.e. the process of learning takes into account all the facets of learning.
For example, in an early childhood setting, the curriculum consists of a language game AND an art activity; it is also the spontaneous investigation of fluids at snack time, the song that accompanies digging in the sand, the teacher’s explanation of why the hamster died. A two-year-old is more interested in the process of pouring milk than drinking it. A preschooler is more absorbed in watching a snail make its way across the sidewalk instead of listening to instructions on running relays.
This approach to early learning allows for experimentation, problem solving, higher-order thinking, language enrichment, development of emotional intelligence, etc.
