Welcome to Vernon Hills KinderCare! We are located in Illinois, proudly serving the children of Vernon Hills, Libertyville, Lincolnshire, and Mundelein. Our programs ensure kindergarten readiness for every child, and our playgrounds exist with safety and adventure in mind. Our staff works hard every day to help children develop confidence for life. Everyone belongs in our circle — we love our families and meeting new friends!
There are many fantastic teaching methods and philosophies to choose from, and you might love some aspects of each. But as you’ve likely noticed, not every child learns best under a singular approach. We share similarities with styles like Montessori, Waldorf, and Reggio Emilia—but we don’t stop there.
Here’s how our curriculum helps your child build confidence and a lifelong love of learning: We allow children the freedom to observe the world and learn from their natural surroundings, Waldorf programs don’t explicitly address early literacy until age seven or so. We’ll nurture your child’s sense of joy, wonder, and curiosity while helping them grow key developmental and school-readiness skills.
Your child will get a well-rounded experience here, including:
Discovering and playing with natural and open-ended materials.
Exploring the world around them through nature, community, heritage, and more.
Experiencing age-appropriate literacy, STEM skills, social and emotional skills, physical education, and more to help instill their confidence early on.
Our educators love how The Montessori method values independent learning. The wonderful thing about our approach is that we have the flexibility to offer independence and structure for kids who need one, the other, or both!Your child’s independence will grow here because they’ll:
Have space for self-led play.
Practice leadership as classroom helpers.
Develop an “I can” attitude with the encouragement of teachers and peers.
Hello, my name is Kassidy Kaufman, and I am proud to serve as the Center Director here at Vernon Hills KinderCare. I have been with the company since 2024 and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I am also currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
What I love most about my role is building meaningful relationships with families and supporting children as they grow, learn, and thrive in our care. Outside of work, I enjoy camping with my husband and our two little ones, Westin and Lainey—who are both proud members of our KinderCare family!
I would love the opportunity to meet you, learn more about your family, and share all that our center has to offer. Please don’t hesitate to reach out and schedule a tour—we’d be excited to welcome you to our community
