Vernon Area Public Library is a voter registration site. Ask at the Adult Desk or call 224-543-1485. To register, you must

• be a United States citizen;
• be 18 years old on or before the next election;
• live in your election precinct at least 30 days prior to the next election;
• not be serving a sentence of confinement in any penal institution as a result of a conviction; and
• not claim the right to vote anywhere else.

Lake County Voter Power: View your districts, voting site, and a copy of your voter registration certificate by providing basic information (name, date of birth, etc.).

Poll-watchers: Poll-watchers are official election process observers in voting sites before, during, and after voting on Election Day. A poll-watcher must have proper credentials, issued by the County Clerk, in order to observe at a voting site. Those credentials are checked by election workers at each site.
