Computer Classes Online:  

Learn technology skills, right where you are

Take courses in various software packages (Microsoft, Adobe, Google, etc.) or learn to code with these online resources. To get started, click on the link and log in with your Vernon Area Library card number. When a PIN is required, it's usually the last four digits of your telephone number.

LinkedIn Learning

(Formerly Lynda.com) Learn at your own pace from industry experts who are passionate about teaching. Thousands of video tutorials on a variety of subjects — programming, business, design, photography, marketing, and more. Log in with your Vernon Area Library card number (no LinkedIn account necessary).

Gale Courses

Take a six-week, expert-taught course in computer applications, graphic design, or other technology subjects. Some courses offer a certificate of completion. Browse the course catalog to view offerings.

Treehouse

HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP...programming languages might seem difficult, but Treehouse makes learning to code easy. This innovative online platform guides you every step of the way. Whether you're new to programming or want to advance your skills, Treehouse gives you the tools you need. To get started, activate your account through the library. Note: Spots are limited; Treehouse accounts with no course activity for 3 weeks are deactivated to make room for other library users.

Vernon Area Public Library offers evening classes on various technologies. Classes are free and open to ages 18 and up.
