Study Space: Outdoors at Vernon Area Library

Study outside, safely and comfortably

Because Lake County is experiencing a substantial level of community transmission of COVID-19 and indoor gatherings are discouraged, seating is currently limited inside the library building. Instead, try one of the new outdoor spaces for studying, meetings, or tutoring sessions.

  • Available on a first-come, first-served basis
  • High-speed Wi-Fi access
  • 2 hours maximum per visitor
  • Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult

Library Garden Study Space

Open most weekday afternoons and weekends. You'll find a variety of seating and tables for individuals or small groups; trees and umbrellas provide shade.

Outdoor Study Rooms

Open during library hours and lit after dark, these are open-air, shaded study spaces with a table and two chairs. No more than two people per space, please.

To access these areas:

From the parking lot (A), walk around the library building.

From inside the library, use the exit doors in the Youth department (B). Turn right for the outdoor study rooms or left (toward the Annex) for the Library Garden.

To re-enter the building from either location, please use the main entrance (C), at the front of the building.
